L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program
The L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program is delivered during the academic year in Health Studies or aligned classes in partner public schools across NYC.
L.O.V.E. is implemented as a class for girls only with a specific curriculum that covers social emotional content and addresses health standards. During the academic year, mentors and mentees participate in weekly, hour-long sessions guided by a curriculum that consists of four core components: mental health, reproductive health, college and career readiness.
Through a series of structured mentoring and group activities that concentrate on personal empowerment, boosting academic performance, and college and career access, L.O.V.E. serves as a platform where young women can actually believe that they are capable of achieving their dreams.

MENTEES
The L.O.V.E. Mentoring Program supports female-identifying public school students from low-income communities in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx.
L.O.V.E. serves as a preventative and motivational program that emboldens young women to believe in themselves and in their self-worth. Our classes are tailored to provide social and emotional learning support through relatable role-modeling. By creating an environment focused on support and empowerment, our goal is to ensure young women can accomplish both their educational and professional goals
MENTORS
L.O.V.E. recruits volunteer female university students to support, guide, and be role models to young Latinas during their high school years.
Most mentors are Latina or women of diverse backgrounds and a majority are first-generation college students from NYC, similar to our mentees. L.O.V.E. mentors understand and relate to our mentees because they have gone through similar experiences. In turn, our mentees can see themselves reflected in their mentors.
